We live on the border of Lafayette and Walnut Creek, within a mile of
the intersection of Highway 680 (running North-South) and the end of
Highway 24 (running East-West).
From San Francisco, Oakland, Berkeley, etc; you take 980 to 24 and go
through the Caldecott tunnel. From Pleasanton, San Ramon, Concord, South
Bay, etc; you use the 680 corridor to get to 24.
The easiest way to get to our house is to take the Pleasant Hill Road
South exit off 24.
1. (24 EAST) If you are traveling East on 24 then the Pleasant Hill
Road South exit is the third and last Lafayette exit. This exit drops you
at a light. Go straight across Pleasant Hill Road onto Old Tunnel Road.
Then see step 3.
2. (24 WEST) If you are traveling West on 24 then the Pleasant Hill
Road South exit is the first exit after the 680/24 intersection. Take the
second (South) part of the exit. Wrap around and under the freeway and
immediately merge to get into the far left lane. AT THE SECOND LIGHT take
a left onto Old Tunnel Road. Then see step 3.
3. (OLD TUNNEL ROAD) continue straight up Old Tunnel Road (runs
parallel to the freeway). At the THIRD stop take a right onto El Curtola
(note landmark bridge over freeway on your left for reference when
leaving).
4. (EL CURTOLA) Travel up a small rise and go straight through the stop at the top.
As you slowly start going down the hill look left for a difficult to
see sign which says LINCOLNSHIRE COURT.
5. We are at no. 3, second house on your right. Plenty of safe on-the-street parking.
